Fox News host Julie Banderas recently made a vulgar claim about The View host Whoopi Goldberg after she blasted Donald Trump‘s $5,000 baby bonus.
On April 23, Goldberg, 69, sent a blunt message about the Trump administration’s incentive to boost the U.S. birth rate.
“I am incredibly insulted by this because clearly they don’t know how women’s bodies work,” she said on The View.
Goldberg later pointed out, “I don’t know what $5,000 is supposed to do.”
Later that day, Fox News’ Outnumbered re-played the clip of Goldberg. Banderas, 51, sarcastically called the View host “lovely,” before adding it was “such a shame she’s not a mother,” per the Daily Mail.
“I feel like she would have been the best role model,” the Fox host continued. “Thank god she did not do IVF, because I don’t think she’d find somebody to actually physically impregnate her, is what I’m trying to get at there.”
Except, Goldberg is not only a mother but also a grandmother and great-grandmother. She gave birth to her daughter, Alex Martin, in 1974.
“Obviously I’m kidding about Whoopi Goldberg, I think it would be great if she had a child, I would just hope that maybe she would raise her children a little better,” Banderas later added.
Ultimately, she clarified, “She has one kid. But, I mean, I don’t know. We don’t know much about that person.”
