A Hollywood A-lister who has publicly mocked Karoline Leavitt in recent interviews was unexpectedly caught on camera during an intimate behind-the-scenes White House tour — leaving fans stunned by the unlikely encounter.

President Donald Trump’s press secretary was filming a light-hearted TikTok video with running influencer Kate Mackz, giving viewers a personal tour of her office and the West Wing grounds — when White Lotus and Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs appeared in the background.

Isaacs, who just last month blasted Leavitt’s media tactics as “disgraceful propaganda,” and likened her to a “young, photogenic mouthpiece for chaos,” was spotted outside one of the White House buildings just moments into the clip.

“I don’t care how well she speaks — Karoline Leavitt is just a younger version of the same cynical playbook,” Isaacs had said at a London press junket. “She’s not fooling anyone with those smiles.”

So when Mackz panned her camera across the crowd and recognized Isaacs, even she was shocked.

“Wait — look who we just ran into!” Mackz said, barely containing her excitement. “This is wild. One week after Patrick Schwarzenegger, and now this?”

Isaacs appeared surprisingly cordial, smiling and telling Mackz, “Sure, I’ll join — wait, you want me to run and talk at the same time?”

As they walked away from the brief encounter, Leavitt, still beaming, turned to camera and quipped:

“You just never know who you’re going to run into at the White House.”

Behind Closed Doors with Karoline Leavitt: Photos of Her Son, Favorite Meme, and a Tesla

The tour gave a rare look inside Leavitt’s workspace, including a glimpse of her personal office — nameplate and all — and the White House’s press briefing room, which she called her favorite.

“This is my office,” she said, opening the door with a proud smile. On her wall were three framed photos: “That’s me with the President… and this is my baby, my nine-month-old son, from our senior staff swearing-in ceremony. This was from my first briefing.”

Above her desk sat a cork board, filled with family pictures and personal notes. One photo showed her son seated on Air Force One, grinning from ear to ear.

“My baby on his first Air Force One flight,” she said. “Still can’t believe it.”

Another item was a meme mocking legacy media, which Leavitt described as her favorite.

“It’s a man pointing at a brain and saying, ‘No thanks, I won’t be needing that — I believe everything legacy media says.’ I love it. We believe in critical thinking around here.”

Influencer Backlash: TikTok Star Kate Mackz Faces Fan Revolt After Video with Leavitt

The running influencer garnered mass praise for her interview with Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz during the election campaign, but those same fans - including Walz' daughter Hope - have now turned on her for speaking with Leavitt

Reflecting on her frequent briefings and the pressure to be accurate, across the news and be able to think on her feet, Leavitt told Mackz she ‘prays to God before every briefing’

While the video has been viewed over a million times on TikTok and has racked up thousands more on YouTube, not everyone was happy.

Mackz — who rose to fame after her viral interview with Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz — is now facing major backlash from progressive fans for appearing alongside Leavitt.

Among the critics? Walz’s own daughter, Hope, who commented on the video:

“Please unpin the interview with my father. This is disappointing.”

White House Shifts Focus: New Media Replaces Legacy Outlets

The cameo comes at a time when the Trump administration, led by Leavitt in the press room, is aggressively shifting media strategy toward influencer and creator engagement.

Just last week, Leavitt hosted over 100 social media creators at a “new media briefing” to mark Trump’s first 100 days back in office.

Meanwhile, traditional journalists — like those from the Associated Press — have had their press access revoked for refusing to refer to the Gulf of Mexico by its newly ordered name: the Gulf of America.

A federal judge has since ordered press credentials reinstated, citing First Amendment violations.

Faith, Pressure, and Preparation: Leavitt Reveals Her Daily Rituals

As the tour neared its end, Leavitt reflected on the weight of her role.

“I pray to God before every briefing,” she told Mackz. “But before the prayer comes a lot of prep. My team and I are reading, analyzing everything. I talk to the President multiple times before I step up to the podium.”

She described the position as a “dream come true” — a full-circle moment after interning during Trump’s first term.

And yes, the red Tesla parked out front? It’s the President’s.

“He told staff we’re welcome to take it for a spin,” Leavitt grinned. “I haven’t yet. But maybe I will.”
